Sony's New Muteki Wireless Speakers Accept the House Down, Literally

Sony's Muteki speakers have been around since 2009, of you've ever seen them at a store, you'd remember it — original Muteki was a 7. 2-channel sony system; that's a lot of speakers. This black friday, the overpowered speaker line-up offers diversified; there are new Micro, Tiny and massive Muteki setups, all of which may very well knock your socks off.

Muteki means 'invincible' in Japanese, incidentally — and if you're looking for central sound, at the moment I don't think The has any serious competition.

The Muteki speaker you can buy from The is the 'micro' GTK-N1BT — it doesn't have to be super small at 554mm tremendous, but it's cheap at $279 when you consider its 100 Watts for audio prowess, coming from a 60W subscription and two 20W front-facing full-range drivers. Like Sony's other great new speakers, it has abandoned the iPhone ändock for pure Bluetooth connectivity, operating optional NFC to start the handshake.

The step-up $429 mini Muteki, the GTK-X1BT, bumps up the pressure levels to 500W RMS, started all-out with two 250W front facing speakers. True to the Muteki trade name it has a bunch of fancy lights around front, all of which can be controlled alongside Sony's SongPal app for iOS and Android. It's fine truly positioned horizontally or vertically, terribly while it's relatively bulky compared with something like the B&W Zeppelin Ansigtsudtryk it can fit into a corner out of the way.

These the big guns. Sony's new SHAKE77 and SHAKE99 floorstanding speakers have always been for serious bass and house-filling sound. Even the lesser $1299 SHAKE77 claims 3600W RMS of top power output through two vast stereo speakers, with extended lights and the addition of a CD obtain, AM tuner and second HARDWARE input. A more versatile equaliser investment than the smaller Muteki speakers translates to you can adjust bass, mid-range as well as treble independently on the two Rumbling stereos.

When Sony showed off a new $2299 SHAKE99's 4800W of pressure for us in its demonstration studio, a new floating ceiling in the room literally shook dust loose, and a picture complete body sitting on a bookshelf fell a lot. These are speakers that are equally inside your house on your back patio providing dwelling party tunes as they are in your living room space — as long as you can find the free space.

All these speakers are available in-store and through Sony's online shop finally, but in July and September whole lot floorstanding speakers will be introduced. Linking the gap between the mini Muteki and the SHAKE77, the MHCV3 typically a single tower that has a solid 720W of power, with angled stereo system speakers to provide a wider soundstage. As if a space-age jukebox, complete with in the middle of pulsing LED light effects — really cool if you want big sound in a tiny apartment. [Sony]
